Privacy notice

This is a small tutoring business, not a platform. The short version: your details are used to arrange and teach classes, they are not sold or shared for marketing, and you can have them deleted by asking.
Who is responsible for your data
Tutorwyz Tech India LLP, the company that owns and operates TutorWyz, is the controller of the personal data described here. A request about your data is answered by that company at hellotutorwyz.com.
What is collected
- When you enquire or book: your name, email address, optionally a phone number, and the details you provide about the student — grade, subject, board, timezone and any notes.
- During teaching: assessment results, class notes and progress reports.
- Only if you allow it: analytics about how the site is used, collected by Google Analytics. This covers approximate location, device type, which pages were viewed, and which buttons were pressed — never what you type into a form. Nothing is collected until you allow it; see “Cookies and analytics” below.
What is deliberately not collected
- Card details. This site has no card form and never asks for a card number. No card data is ever received or stored. When you pay by card, the payment is handled by a payment provider whose own systems capture the card.
- Class recordings, unless you specifically ask for one. Where you do, it is shared with you and then deleted.
- Your display preferences and your answer to the analytics question, stay in your own browser’s local storage and are never transmitted.
Why it is used
To reply to your enquiry, schedule classes in the right timezone, teach and assess, write your progress reports, and issue invoices. Analytics is used only to understand which pages help families decide, so the site can be improved.
You will not be added to a marketing list. Your details are never sold, rented or shared with other tutoring services.
Children’s data
Students are minors, so the account relationship is with the parent or guardian throughout. No student’s name, photograph, work or results appear on this website or anywhere else without a parent’s written permission, and permission can be withdrawn at any time.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to classes are deleted within 12 months. Records for active and past students are kept for three years after the last class, which covers reference requests and any tax obligation, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about you or your child, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hellotutorwyz.com and it will be actioned within 30 days.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies, and no analytics cookies unless you allow them. On your first visit a banner asks whether you allow Google Analytics. Until you answer, and if you decline, nothing from Google is loaded and no Google cookies are set.
If you allow it, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier. They last up to 13 months from your first visit, are not extended by later visits, and let it recognise a returning browser, not a named person. Google processes this data on behalf of Tutorwyz Tech India LLP. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses, and the data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
Your answer is remembered for six months, whether it was yes or no, and then we ask again. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the foot of every page. Declining after allowing removes the Google Analytics cookies from this site.
Your browser’s local storage remembers your display preferences, your progress on the practice questions and your analytics answer. Blocking it only means those are not remembered between visits.
