When should tutoring start?

Within the school year, the best moment is the start of a term rather than the fortnight before an exam. Starting early leaves time to assess properly, build a plan, and let the work between classes do its part. The worst moment is the month before a board exam, when there is time to drill technique but not to rebuild what sits underneath it. That said, if a gap has already opened, the second-best time is now — gaps in Maths and Science compound fast.
